DS Flash Equipment > Flashing Superpass

#68947 - dj_yt - Fri Jan 27, 2006 3:44 pm

OK... quick overview

The write-protect switch on my superpass 2 has snapped... and it's stuck in the write-protect position so I can no longer flash it (I have a newer firmware DS)!

I also have access to an original Superpass. Is it possible to program the original Superpass in the same way?

Cheers,
Chris.

It should be fine. PassMe can be upgraded to a PassMe2

Hmm just get the error message:

Hardware not connected to PC
USB cable not connected
SP2 Key Switch not open

Same as with my original Superpass2

Can it be manipulated with a pointy object?

You will have to open the original Superpass to acces the JTAG connector. Also, you need to make a programming cable (e.g. Cheaptag). Likewise you can open your Superpass2 and repair/replace the switch.

Too bad the Superpass is glued together instead of using screws... But you still can do it.
