DS Flash Equipment > question of flashing using sram from cheating device...

hey i own a GBAMP(Thanks lik-sang!)
and i want to flash my Blue NDS (FW 4)
so i was gonna order my SuperPass2+programmer
online,
but i found out i need Sram on my movie player.
so i was Thinking,
Can i use Action replay's sram and have the GBAMP in the Action Replay?, to flash my DS
(it has sram and extra game save space for cheating)

will this work, if so then you don't have to buy an expensive flashcart!
please respond
i really wanna know!

If it's SRAM it should work, but I know AR stores its codes in the same EEPROM its actual program is stored in, so it might not be.

Also I've observed the DS firmware reads from some unused addresses in the header, causing the GBA Gameshark to switch to its own ROM (rather than the cartridge ROM) and thus not boot (the logo check will fail as it contains no logo). Dunno if this affects AR but if it does, it'll probably turn its SRAM off too. You can reset it by just pulling it out and putting it back in, but the Nintendo firmware freezes when you do this.

very interesting,
well from what i have seen the AR does have cheats for DS games too.
in other words, if you think the Sram will work.
then it will, booting is not a problem.

in conclusion now to buy a AR then return it after i my DS :P
