Wow, nice it is the middle of February and I went to a store to pick a retail NDS, and they still had some with the Metroid Demo, plus they had a special to get a free game. How cool is that. Hopefully when i check fw its passkey 1.

you make little sense, to be honest
but if your asking how to check the firmware then go to picto chat and eject your metriod from the back of the ds
if its not yellow or megenta then you can use a passkey 1
superpass
passme
etc... (basicly everything with out a 2, but 2 will work too)
other wise you need a passme2 or superpass2
and a flashcart with sram
anyway i think it will be fw 1
(ds will freeze)
but sounds like you got a good deal :P

No, I'm not asking how to check firmware, God if I couldn't do that I shouldn't even be driving or playing games or anything, but should be instead become a ward of the state.
I was just merely saying wow how lucky can a person be, to want a ds for homebrew, go into a random store, see an old silver complete with metroid demo and get a free game with it. Plus it was new retail so It doesn't have any wear or tear on it. :D btw it was v. 2.

i have fw v.4, so i still can't flash or run homebrew >.<;(don't have sram supported flashcart :|)

Yea, I know I was holding a jewel when I read the back of the box and it said coming soon WarioWare. This had to be like a sign to, becaue just yesterday I was at Staples, and they had what I thought was a pretty good deal for a cf card, 20 bucks for 512 mb.

wish i had luck like that, really man.
but looks like all you need to do(if you didn't already)
is get a flashcart and eiter get a good wifi card that can multi-boot your ds over download play
or buy that passthrough device :)
(i have both of those BUT still don't have the damn sram!)

Yea, i got a buddy that has a Superpass, and I've bought but haven't recieved a Supercard yet, will probalby flash it this weekend, I've got two tests and a project due this week though, and in nasty subjects, Semiconductors and Electronic Circuits and Signals :P at least the first 5 weeks of class has been similar for both, p-n junctions.

either way, good luck in semiconductors :D I did CS/CE, so I didn't need to take it, tho I ended up taking a VLSI design course here that included most of what it would have covered.

UMC, I was enrolled at UMR but I decided UMC was a better choice. Yea, I don't think it should be too bad, our prof made us a formula sheet and I've kept up in class and homework. Plus this isn't really a weedout class anymore so they tend to let you through these when you probably shouldn't.

Hence why living in a small town sucks. Wal-mart is the cheapest of the two places that sell SD cards, and the only one with CFs. (And I had no credit card at that point.) >_<
