DS Flash Equipment > problems after uninstalling flashme

#74802 - funkaster - Tue Mar 07, 2006 9:17 pm

I used to have my DS flashed, but can't remember why I "uninstalled" it. I also remember that I could still test homebrew code with the PassMe. I left the PassMe in the desk for a few months and now that I want to start coding again, it's not working (it boots to firmware)... could it be that the PassMe is bad?
I'm using a 256Mbit EFA and the metroid demo in the PassMe...
any idea?

Do a firmware version check (the pictochat color thing). I am guessing unflashme has the new firmware. If that is the case, you would need a passme2 to flash your DS now.

Yes, I thought the same... apparently is FW2: Grayish Blue.

Wait, so, if I unflash my DS, it'll be fw2 instead of the old firmware that it had?

Oh, nevermind then. Carry on. :P

This just gave me a curiosity... Is there a way to unflash a flashed DS and turn it into an "unflashed v2", or v1?

Edit: To force a DS to have certain firmware even if it was never meant to.
