If i get a max media launcher, does that mean I need something attached to the DS slot, THEN something attached to the GBA slot?

The cart is the same size as any normal NDS game
and yes, you will need something like the M3 MiniSD you were planning to get

Right, but then you have to carry an additional DS Game Card. With my silver DS (was v2 now FlashMe), I can carry Tetris DS inside the DS slot and my GBAMP inside the GBA slot and not have to worry about pak-swapping when I want to switch between TDS and homebrew.

I think I've figured it out. I will get the passcard 3 when it comes out, use an M3MiniSD and fast miniSD card.
Would I ever be required to have to switch gamepaks in that case?

I've done the TakeMeOut test though and it's also showing magenta on both screens.

Yeah, Because Passcard 3 goes into the DS slot, just like Max media launcher.
