I just read in another thread that v.7 of flashme allows you to use the regular backlight settings. Is this true? can you just click the bottom left corner and the light settings go up and down?

DS lite always uses the lightbulb in the bottom left, its on all the videos..

the reason why I asked this is because I read somewhere that after flashing the ds lite you have to use a seperate program callled ALITE in order to change the backlight settings instead of tapping on the bottom left corner of the screen. can anyone confirm this?

Just flash it with the V7 already. It supports the ds lite and the backlight settings and those late model DS gen1s that have the hardware to control the backlight. Through stepped voltage regulators probably or through a microcontroller. Acutally there are alot of ways to do it.
