no.
WMB should always work fine with real nintendo ds demos...
it is signed...
i think the other converstation was trying to run homebrew
not ds demos made by nintendo....

i could be wrong...
but this seems imposible since that would make the ds demo kiosks and all downloadable nintendo demos stop working :|

p.s. correct me if im wrong but i though
NO USB wifi cards work with the WMB software

I seem to remember that the DS Lite is different in some minor way that causes communication errors even with official demos. Here

Have you ever thought to think of Linux.
It works,it works great! just ask masscat and tons of others.
If you want to try it the easy way (using the "real system method"):

I'm really surprised this still is asked in a place like this.

Once a friend of my brother tried to download demos, but it didn't work. I always got a Communication error, even when the DS was next to the WLAN device. Then I tried with my brother's DS and it worked.

The DS of my brother's friend had one of the newest firmwares, don't know which it was.

With my howto I've noticed that when using VMplayer the positioning of the DS is very important.
With the real system it is far less so.

One thing that is important that wifime only works with FW versions 1,2 and 3.
WMB (of official code) should always work.

Also not not important.
I do not know how true my source is here, but I think the Wii will be able to host content for the DS too, so you don't have to buy anything extra.
*Isn't homebrew always better and faster ;)*
