OffTopic > GBA cartridge manufacturing costs

#98535 - doudou - Tue Aug 15, 2006 8:30 pm

Hi guys,

Where can I find information about GBA cartridge manufacturing costs. For example, I would like to know how much it cost for 5000 32mb, no-EEProm cartridges. I would also like to be able to compare those prices to bigger and with EEProm cartridges.

Wish I knew. That information is very hard to procure.

Sure is.. so when/if you find it, let us all know, as there are a lot of people that have asked that (or simular) questions reguarding this.

Does anybody know where the carts for the 2004Mbit Compo came from? Surely 32Mbit and SRAM (32KB?) would be enough for most homebrewers.

IIRC they came from a "dishonest" source, and no more carts are available at this point. What ever happened to freelancer?

Shouldn't that be 4Mbit instead of 2004 ?

that was the name of it. IIRC, each selected rom had to fit into 4Mbits. it was just a clever way of saying that and the year of the compo

ah.. per entry. Already thought it'd be a bit small otherwise :)
