#107864 - germel - Thu Nov 02, 2006 5:43 pm

Hi all..

I had a little question.
My internet cable has just broken and my internet acces is on a stupid placed installed..

Now i have the nintendo USB with hacked drivers so now its a normal router...

so now is my question:

I want to buy a normal router for my internet connection but can i use my hacked USB connector as receiver for my router internet acces or do i have to buy a special usb receiver for routers..??

for the people who dont understand me:
can my hacked USB connector only send data out or also receive internet from other routers..??
i want to buy an router for internet acces and i want to use my USB connector to connect to it to receive internet..

Is this possible..??

sorry for the explanation i?m always hard at explaining something :(

You can't just dump enormous amounts of materials on your internet, it's not a dump truck.

Yes, you can probably get Wi-Fi device drivers for that USB stick, but then it won't work as an access point anymore. Your DS would connect to the Intertubes through the "normal router".

tepples my usb stick (orinally nintendo usb stick) is already hacked with hacked drivers.... it works now as an normal router so i coulkd use beup (msn messenger on DS)

so i can buy a normal router and connect him to internet and use the usb stick as an receiver ??

or what you mean is i need again differend drivers for that..?? others then i already used to make it a normal router..??

I have the nintendo stick (hacked drivers of cource) on my pc, and i use a cheap wifi stick on my laptop, and can eventually get the internet working through it, althoug I have trouble setting it up the first time (partly due to winxp wizard, and my own lack of network knowlage, but once i have it set up properly, everything works fine) the only thing is the range on the nintendo wifi stick isnt as good as a decent wifi router, i can get an ok signal in the next room though.
