I got this today, and wanted to use it as a SoftAP, but apparently Windows (surprise!) has no idea how to do this. With the included software I can get it broadcasting an SSID, and DS2Key sees it, but NWFC Setup and my laptop don't. o_O It uses an RT2500, so I figured someone here might have dealt with it before. It's version 3000, I see version 2000 is in a thread about converting these to work with Nintendo's WFC program, but I recall hearing homebrew doesn't work with this. Any ideas?

Well, I'm currently using *checks exact name* a "Belkin 54g Wireless USB Network Adapter". Is yours a USB?

Yep. The thread title is copied directly from the box.

The included software is that little blue/red box in the taskbar, right? I haven't ever needed to use that as an AP, so I have very, very little experience in that area. Have you tried the hacked Nintendo USB Adapter software?

Yes, it is, and no, I haven't. I downloaded the hacked drivers, but it says the usual "this location does not contain information about your hardware". Is there an actual program I'm supposed to use?

hm, I missed this thread somehow.
Try using this driver from the RALINK website. It contains the drivers for most (or all) ralink chipsets.
Only V2000 uses the 2500 chipsset, V3000 I think a newer Ralink one, and then the above linked driver should work.
I use this driver with its SoftAp and a Conceptronics USB Wlan stick with Ralink RT73 chipset with my NDS Lite successfully (MarioKartDS and dsOrganize 2.7 final are working, having entered the settings (SSID) with MarioKart WFC Configuration).
Give it a try!
Edit: I ve just got an Belkin USB Stick V2000 in my hands with an RT2500 chipset, and the free RALINK driver does not support SoftAP for the RT2500 chipset, only for newer ones :-( I will investigate further ...
