Hello!!!. First post here.

Well, i saw "oficial" DooM Gba... and i was very dissapointed. DooM in my Nokia 7650 looks and play MUCH better.

My question is: Some GBA guru can make a better port from this game using original source code? Or GBA cannot handle a true DooM? :(((

GBA doesn't meet the equivalent of the PC requirements for the original Doom. It would be quite a trick to get the same level of quality.

So, was not a bad conversion, GBA cannot play a DooM engine? (without taking some parts away)

What do you expect out of a 16 Mhz processor and heavily wait-stated RAM? The N-Gage and similar phones just have a faster CPU and a faster FSB.

i think first person shooters on a system like the gba are nonsense anyway. I played doom but i didnt liked it. Mainly because its not ideal to control with the set of controls. 2d games like Golden Sun, Advance Wars, Metroid, ... are more suited to a system like the GBA and the have a high fun factor.

Well, doom is like a 2.5d. I mean, easy to play, easy control. I played a lot DooM in SuperNes.

But i agree, GBA is more suitable for 2d "true" games, nor first person games....

mmm.... is there a way to make red the green blood in DooM? I mean, i want to dump my DooM (or use a rom instead) and change it?
