Couldnt remember the site address here so I tried that one. The owener is offering it for $800. Should it be considered or ignored?

if you want the domain and have no problem paying 800$ for it, take it :P
If you dont want to pay 800$, just ignore it.

tis as simple as that

I'd counteroffer the $6 or so the domain is actually worth. If he'll take it, I'll gladly pay for it on behalf of the community.

Dan (does not approve of feeding the domain-reselling animals).

I'm just afraid the counter-offer might be from Nintendo who would want to redirect it to some anti-piracy page.

why use gbadev for that? it won't get them far; more like gbaemulation.com or something like that

Just took a closer look at it. The owner will accept nothing less than $800 for it. However, if someone really wants it they could try the microsoft trick. :-(

Sell him a dodgy OS that crashes lots and requires frequent patches to overcome inherent security issues? Can't see how that would help... :-)

The other one, offer what the domain is worth and they replay with a higher offer. Against ICANN rules and domain gets forfieted [sp?]. MS did that to MkieRoeSoft.com (note: Mike Roe is his real name and owend a software company).

Yet another "Microsoft trick" refers to when Microsoft forgot to renew the passport.com domain used for MSN's authentication.

From the whois record for gbadev.com: "Record expires on 24.01.2005"
