That's very hemispherist of you. Here in Australia it is now winter -- we have yet to see spring 2006. You may want to specify a month (April or May) instead.

Datel, manufacturer of the first NoPass made available for sale, is located in the northern hemisphere. So are the Chinese manufacturers of "dual use" hardware. I didn't want to specify a month because I didn't feel like digging up the exact date of the post in which the MAX Media Launcher was announced, and besides, different cultures still use different calendars.

Thanks. Many companies and news agencies also seem to be hemispherist, although their information / marketting tends to be aimed at a particular country / region (normally North America or Europe).

Neoflash seem to be particularly guilty of this. They are currently running a "Summer 2006" coding competition, after running a "Spring 2006" competition not too long ago.

Hmm, maybe this should go into Offtopic.
