DS Misc > Need computer apps to make games for the ds

#90553 - dshacker - Fri Jun 30, 2006 7:56 pm

Well I need some apps to make games for the ds on my computer. I know about all of the coding. If anyone has any, can you tell me where you got it.

You claim to already know how to program. So if you fill in the "Website:" field in your profile with the URL of one or more of your past projects, we can gauge your skill level and give you help that's just right for your skill level.

I like to use DevKitPro (DKP). But you need to know C or C++. Actually, you don't. You could write ARM ASM, cutting out the C compiler. Actually, lets skip the assembly. Code in hex! Use a hex editor and type out each LSB-encoded instruction by hand. Hell, take all keys off your keyboard except 0,1 and enter, then code it in pure binary. Real programmers don't need anything more.

You can use the award winning "Game Maker DS" application to create fabulous games using only severl mouse clicks!
All you need is a nice advanced machine (also known as "Time Machine") to jump forward 3-4 years into the future.
I'm sure you could find a time machine on eBay.

Ok, so you know about _all_ the coding already? That's great!

Should I now teach you how to gain information from external sources such as the internet?

heh dshacker... you have made another thread when your earlier one here clearly illustrates what you should do and you clearly have no idea what your doing. If you can code as you claim you can, then download the devkit and compile the demos... if you can't do that forget about the rest... noone is going to code for you...

Just saw DS Lua mentioned on GBAtemp...not tried it yet, but it might be the sort of thing you're after.

At least the first reply was honest help.
