As you see a SSB game has already been done, and well done, let me say...
we just need to port it to DS, has it is homebrew, so i think it will be easy as we can contact the creator of SmashGP (name of the game).
The games uses, everything that the SSB and SSBM for the nintendo consoles uses...
user and password for the site:.

I already downloaded and will give it a see, so i know what i can do to it...

Mi espa?ol es nativo, pues soy Mexicano :P
The game looks awesome, any chance the creator will share the source?
#92120 - Vasco - Tue Jul 11, 2006 6:03 pm
Yo soy portugues, por isso se hablar un poquito... jejejeje
mAtkEUpON should try to develop the game for the NDS or atleast lend (give) the source..
Can anyone ask him ?
Alguien puede perdir a mAtkEUpON para nos emprestar la source ?
#92131 - thundrestrike - Tue Jul 11, 2006 6:47 pm
looks awesome, wouldn't it be cool if they used stephen stairs wifi lib for multiplayer play?
even without multiplayer, this is a must-have homebrew for the DS
Lets hope he shares the source! (why wouldn't he? im sure he'd like to see his creation on a modern portable) :D

This is pretty old news...
#92153 - dshacker - Tue Jul 11, 2006 9:02 pm
I'm working on creating SSB DS. If anyone wants to help me. People can write some sprites and stuff like that.
#92154 - Vasco - Tue Jul 11, 2006 9:15 pm
I have all the sprites from the SSBM, and some Scenarios... and yes, i want to help of course...and i have the SSBM soundtrack and i think the sounds arent that hard to get..
#92158 - dualscreenman - Tue Jul 11, 2006 9:57 pm
Ripping it form an official game.. isn't that overtly blatant copyright violation?

Looks quite possible.
I hope if Nintendo ever does SSB DS (which is possible, since they've developed most of the other must-haves to kick off NWFC) that they do nice 2d characters, since they can have a lot more detail :)

DSHacker how much progress did you do untill now ?
#92170 - dshacker - Tue Jul 11, 2006 11:02 pm
well I didn't start much. Like I had the idea of doing it. I just can't make good sprites or maps. Like I can code and all, the main, make, .elf, .bin, .bin and stuff like that I can make. I just need the sprites and maps made. I'll post this project in a diff. place. I'll just post it in the help wanted section.
#92171 - Vasco - Tue Jul 11, 2006 11:07 pm
I am a good spriter, and i can make some modifications to some sprites, or make newer sprites, or simply make scenarios and items....
Im willing to help you in anything you need, but i just dont know how to program...
Where should we start ?
#92173 - dualscreenman - Tue Jul 11, 2006 11:08 pm
Ah, I see. Sorry about that.

Lol i created the topic... The topic is about Super Smash Brothers DS, so anything related with having it running on the ds, homebrew, port or oficial...
DSHacker, i will try tomorow to do some maps for you, do you want two or tree characters to try out on your build (when you do it) ?
Nothing about the SmashGp...im going to mail the creator today, so maybe tomorow we have news about it... but if more people mail him, would be better.. the site is up there or on the first page...
He has already ported it to the PSP so, maybe he really does port to DS or give us the source..
#92186 - dshacker - Tue Jul 11, 2006 11:57 pm
Well I'll probally just like to start out with 1 - 2 simple characters. And see how it goes from there.
#92190 - Vasco - Wed Jul 12, 2006 12:35 am
Who do you want ? and choose a map...
#92414 - jester - Thu Jul 13, 2006 1:20 pm
well i could help set up a site for the SSB DS and we can go on from there!

Please do it, but in our topic on Help Wanted xD
