Linky

Go down to the bottom of the page. On the horizon cometh a Trainer Toolkit for the Nintendo DS:

STOP PRESS
Hot on the heels of Action Replay DS will be Trainer Toolkit for NDS, a pro-level game hacking system intended for technically minded gamers/hackers that lets you hack your own codes for use with Action Replay DS. Using the PC trainer software and dev-board hardware, dedicated individuals can now earn the respect of the underground community as creators of truly awesome codes!

Codes can be shared by creating links that make them directly available in Action Replay DS's Code Manager software.

Trainer Toolkit for NDS is coming soon - keep watching this space for
details.

Arm yourselves. Protest to Nintendo to up the security of WiFi games.

This is what the famed hacker "Parasyte" from the GSCentral fourms says about this recent development:

"So long, WFC. I loveded yoooouu!
GOODBYE MY LOOOOOOOOVV~~~~"

Oh Noes.[/url]

A mass exodus to Xbox Live might force Nintendo to do this in order to maintain demand for WFC games.

J Allard: "We at Microsoft upped our online play security, so up yours Nintendo."

The downside is that Nintendo might consider the presence of FlashMe firmware to constitute cheating, just as Microsoft did with Xbox Live.

Seems like it is going to come down to who has one and who doesn't.

Cheater > Non Cheater
however
Cheater = Cheater

Come to think of it, with this all being announced prior to release, Nintendo has a lot of time to clean it up before it happens.
(And, since it still will happen, it will be a lot less prominent).

Couldn't the DS just clear RAM every time a DS cart is booted ?

#94524 - ssj4android - Tue Jul 25, 2006 4:34 am

Hopefully, Datel's thing will disable WiFi mode while in use...

#94561 - loading - Tue Jul 25, 2006 10:58 am

honestly i like it. even if it ruins mario kart random games the fun hacking games will make up for that (for me at least). and nintendo will learn to make its online games more secure in the future

i don't think they will - and if they do that feature will eventually be hacked.

no. this more speculation but i guess the ar boots boots the card - and can patch the code in any way it wants before actually running the binarys.

hmm i can't follow? that thing will work on non-flashed ds so what does that have to do with flashme?

I don't think this is even possible, seeing as people can make their own codes.

Yeah, something like that.

I doesn't matter, they might do some crazy association since they're not one of us.
I suggest we all send well-written e-mails complainign about security as I had posted above.

The Sky is Falling!

Having the idea in the back of your head// Is this guy cheating? Maybe he is.. BLAST!

I doubt its going to change anything.. just play with friends

Wifico could have a report cheated button or something.. easy enough to manage but not stoppable in the least

Using the PC trainer software and dev-board hardware, (people that own this haxing machine) can now witness the hatred of the collective gaming community as creators of completely unoriginal codes!

well one question though. It says that once you boot up, remove the AR DS and put the game in, wouldn't that freeze the system untill you turn it off?

No. The freeze is controlled via software.

FYI, I posted the news about the DS AR and the trainer kit in the Dipstar thread several days ago. I guess nobody noticed though. :-(
