And here's a link to the .sc.nds (aka .ds.gba) version of the game. :)

is it me, or does this not work on GBAMP?

#96862 - Deku - Sun Aug 06, 2006 1:53 am

Works perfectly on M3 adapter SD. Man that last platform level and the boss are hard. x.x

This is the best homebrewed game ive played. Great job to the creator.

#96864 - thundrestrike - Sun Aug 06, 2006 2:01 am

Excelent... This game is one of the best on the Ds Homebrews.

I dont think we can kill the Boss, because i already tried 6 or 7 times, and never killed him :(

OFF TOPIC....

Help me please, my internet explorer is giving me problems...

http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/4414/problemakb5.jpg ---? Example of the problem...

The text on some websites is soooooooooooo small but in others is the normal type of text, over the other weekend my IE worked with this pages, but now is having this problems...

Can you help me please ?

#96869 - Nushio - Sun Aug 06, 2006 2:39 am

First put the sound all the way you can.

Now use the boomerang (Y, i think) to hit it, you'll hear "dizzy" noises, then you can stab him or press up-B to hit him.

Do that like 10 times and he's done with. G'luck.

Awesome homebrew btw.

First impressions - A sidescroller, neat. Has that generic link sprite as well, this looks pretty fun.

Well, boy was I wrong. OMG this is painful. The first levels of the wind level are cool, but the third sucks. It took me like 10 minutes to beat. And then....the boss. A sprite from Fire Emblem. He could make his own little monster. No, a guy from fire emblem. It took me 5 minutes to find out how to hurt him, and I still dont know if that even hurt him. I must have hit him over 10 times, he wouldent die! I turned it off.

It's not like a zelda game would be original anyway, why would the rest? But, it a nice game that can be fun to play. Who cares about borrowed sprites and music?

Dont parodies qualify in the "I dont care about copyright" program?

If so, woah, that game was very funny! It was like a parody of Zelda!

#97135 - knight0fdragon - Tue Aug 08, 2006 4:19 am

i dont think you can use real names in parodies without the owners consent, thats why you have things like pokeyman

O RLY? Then why did Zelda Online have to be renamed to "Graal Online"?

Nushio wrote:

What you think is a parody is not necessarily what a judge thinks is a parody.

I meant in reguards to the homebrew community. Having a playable game is more important than not. And when it's in reference to a game copy anyway? I mean? If he redid all the graphics himself, it wouldn't be called Zelda, now would it? Which, suprises me that you haven't brought that up..

In other words.. it's free people.. If you don't like it, don't play it. If you have useful feedback, then provide it.. but complaining about sprites doesn't help anything... Unless you want to provide sprite you made yourself.. Ahh.. that's what I thought.

If a playable game were the foremost object, we'd all be on pirateheaven.com or piratetemp.net instead of gbadev.org. But we're here for legal playable games.

It'd be an original game, and I wouldn't be complaining.

As soon as this is made skinnable, I might consider contributing a few replacement sprites in order to bootstrap this project away from Nintendo copyrights in the same way that LAME was bootstrapped from the ISO MP3 example code.

If it's and easy fix to get it to wrok on the GBAMP....does anyone want to fix it?

#99791 - Darkflame - Thu Aug 24, 2006 12:55 am

If Nintendos so concerned about Sprite usage....wouldnt Zelda Classic have gone ages ago?

I think your normaly ok as long as its very clear its a fan game, and your not getting any money from it, and your not damageing the brand.
