Hello all!
Let me explain what this program is.
This program allows many people without coding experiance to create their own DS RPG games, similar to RPG Maker 2003 for PC, but this is for DS!

Early early versions have come out in the past, but only allowed for you to make maps and play on them as a little square guy. But, I have been following development of VGMDS and VGRDS (Virtual Game Maker DS) and it has progressed RAPIDLY since the last release!

You are now able to import your own graphics, create events, set hero start position, have music play in the background, and much much more!

I am the main tester of VGMDS, and a public release has just happened.
It is a very very important release, a breakthrough you might say.

The last version didn't work on GBAMP.

This one does work on my GBAMP. I just tried it out a little but it looks pretty cool. The RPG maker 2000 graphics look good on a DS.

you think the included chipset graphics are good, try some of my chipsets, I'll upload one in a sec

remember to use the appropriate file, and copy "newgame" into your root directory

Got em, disregard the file name, and save as the name I have listed

Field chipset upper

to apply them in VGMDS
open your map, then press the little hammer and tools button
then select the gif files i provided

then, don't forget to press the x's and arrow's button to make it so you can walk on them

and I'll be uploading a game within the week that has pre-made chipsets and charsets and other resources, join the forum!

To use an existing project with the new version of VGXDS,
Please copy game.vgm from "newgame" and paste it over the existing game.vgm that is in your project folder

ouch! that last demo I uploaded had a bug that Globoeil found.
I fixed it, and re-uploaded

THOSE WHO NEVER GOT IT TO WORK, REDOWNLOAD
THOSE WITH SD CARDS, PLEASE SEE IF IT WORKS
THOSE WITH CF CARDS, IT WILL WORK DEFINATELY
FOLLOW EVERY INSTRUCTION IN THE README


let me know if it works with sd media
and let me know if it works at all, those with CF
it works on gbamp's too, it just takes a little longer to load (white screen for 20 seconds, but then it turns on)

I, too, am thankful for how removable storage homebrew has become the norm.

(Hoping you get the combat in before too late :P No pressure though! I can find a workaround...)

Any chance for an event condition: When player screams at microphone?
May be fun :)
