Nice. Works well, but the day planner seems to act a bit odd when opening .dpl files in the browser. It would always open to display a day in September that I had some entries on, even though the files were for entries in May. (Thought I deleted those. >_>) It started showing the correct day after I deleted some of them though.
Also #dsorganize requires a registered name, but no error is shown if you don't have one (why does it default to a channel that requires this anyway?), you just sit there in an empty room thinking nobody's around until you check the console.

The official DSO channel does not require registered names. You must have changed the server.

I must have been tired when writing that.
It should have said BIOS update for CF and not firmware. Has this nothing to do with the fact that some of them are micro hard disc drives?
EDIT: Yesterday I got mail that they have sended me a new 2GB MiniSD, yahoo! Can't wait to get that full 1920 MB (15360 Mbit) of space. :)

So this thing can also destroy cards, i have a mini sd m3 card, is this compatible?
#101121 - Linkiboy - Sat Sep 02, 2006 9:28 pm
I found out why my files come up 0.0b, it seems long filenames are not supported :\
(SCLite)
Anything .sc.nds is automatically becominga 0b file.

Thats ok, for a minute I thought there was a BIG gap in my compact flash knowledge :D
Microdrives Id understand (allthough they are going out of fashion...nice idea, badly timed).

yeah, fair enough.
(allthough thats easy for me to say being a GBAMP user ;) )
I only hope the card manufactors start being more helpfull to the homebrew community, rather then just exploting them for saleing points
:-/

I'm sad to read this, but I think if he's got to this point he has his reasons and I respect him and thank him for what he does. Being an M3SD owner I won't get support anymore but I understand it's not his fault but M3 team's fault for not releasing drivers to the homebrew community. I hope they will in the near future.

Everyone go e-mail them to release the source.

And EZ team while you're at it :)
I get the dancing cow with the gray version 2.25 on EZ4lite microSD
Looks like it only checks NinjaSD and MaxCF...
Where can I download old version of DSO?
#102002 - Xtreme - Sat Sep 09, 2006 7:14 pm
V2.25
With M3-MiniSD:
Blue
Starts great.
Can't save.
Gray
Doesn't start. All I see is a moo moo.
Green
Starts great.
Renaming files/folders works great and I haven't been able to corrupt anything. Good job. :)
EDIT: "DSOrganize Green.ds.gba" renamed to "DSOrganize Green.nds" and I run it with A button. Also I have the latest V27 firmware and my MiniSD card is using FAT16(with 64KB cluster size).
EDIT2: When I save picture or Vcard they only exist after I have reloaded the DSOrganize. Is this a behavior of M3 or DSOrganize?

yeah - agreed!
As I understood it - the admin here / tepples wasn't too keen to promote / sticky this because it wasn't open source. But it is now - so how about it?

hi!
i have a problem: i want to be online while i'm in the university.
the problem is, that i need a proxy-login there (dunno the correct name, i hope you get what i mean)
so what about that? in beup i can only specify the ip-adress and stuff (which i need to find out first, too, i guess)
will there sometime be support for proxies?
#103959 - tepples - Mon Sep 25, 2006 6:03 pm
SOCKS or httptunnel?

#104166 - bjoerngiesler - Tue Sep 26, 2006 9:13 pm
Hi,
I just noticed this because I was playing around with the exec() code myself and wanted to check if DSO does something different than I do: DSO can't boot itself on my SuperCard CF. It outputs
ARM9
LD9FAT
-> 0
ARM7
LD7FAT
...and there it hangs. Anyone else have this problem and maybe resolved it?

Well, you can't sell it or your derivatives, and the author specifically discourages you to alter/modify it. So while the source code is downloadable, it is not open source nor free software.
Which is a pity, I would have loved to play with it :)

Wait. Reading the mad and mikmod directories, I noticed that both are linked against and both are GPL.
So I'll assume that the whole DSOrganize is released under [at least] the GPL. That, or DragonMinded will have to remove all GPL parts if he wants a different license.

I'd love it if someone could incorporate an ftp server/client into it... that would be so useful.
