That probably means the driver isn't correctly installed.

There is no Vista driver. I don' t know if it will work but have you tried using the XP driver?

I am using the XP driver and getting the message,
any ideas or info on when a compatible vista driver will be released? because i dont really want to dual boot for this alone. And i also setup a virtual XP machine within vista but the VM does not detect my wifi pci card...
thanks.

I think all drivers have to be signed by MS for Vista, which probably costs quite a bit. Not to mention it'd have to pass various tests to ensure it's not going to cause problems, and somehow I feel something like this (a hacked driver for what could be considered hacking purposes) is just going to get rejected without a second glance.

drivers do not have to be signed by microsoft for vista.

But they do have to be signed by a developer with a certificate that is in turn signed annually by VeriSign, and enough hobbyists can't afford the fee that VeriSign charges.

You need to right-click on wmb.exe, select properties, go to the compatibility tab and check "Run this program as an administrator".
