If "no access to a PC", then how do you post this? Or do you mean "no access to a PC running Microsoft Windows OS"?

Macs actually aren't PCs. In this case, his definition was quite correct.

Are machines running Ubuntu or FreeBSD "PCs"?

daninski: State your hardware, and we can suggest workarounds.

ok, i meant 'pc' in it's use in popular culture as a youthanism for a personal computer running Microsoft's OS.

here's a joke for anyone a little nerdy...
What happens if you pinch a nerd?

it MEGA HURTS!

I spent years posting from public library computers before I got my own. Not here of course... You might want to try that, if they'll let you run the program. At the library I went to they had everything locked down and IIRC frozen (when you rebooted all changes to files were undone), so as long as you had your external media scanned for viruses first, you could do whatever the hell you wanted, except look at porn or stupid things like that.

Supercard seems to be releasing a lot of source. Try asking them for the "moomshell patcher" source. It changes 39 bytes in homebrew that uses gba_nds_fat. I think it just changes the SCSD code to read slower.

DSOrganize isn't compatible with the patch since it uses libfatdragon instead of gba_nds_fat. According to Dragonminded's website, 2.3 blue version is compatible with SC Lite, no need for patching.

Really, as I thought PC = Personal Computer, which meant a computer you could own personally, as apposed to one that cost $100,000,000 and took up the space of your whole house. If you try to make it hardware based, aren't macs even using Intel chips now?

Substitute "IBM-compatible" for PC and it makes more sense. Except Macs can now run Windows and Linux. Maybe try "PC based on a BIOS derived indirectly from the original IBM PC, which can play the majority of games and run the majority of business applications out of the box without having to acquire another OS to replace the original. (Linux fanatics, you have to accept that most IBM-compatible PCs come pre-installed with the superior MS Windows.) This is opposed to a fruity, pretentious, over-priced desk ornament".

Let the OS flame wars continue...

i've tried all the blue varients with my supercard lite and they all hang on the little cute cow. there are way's on my mac to run the moomshell patcher (buy virtuapc and a copy of windows... not really doable cost wise).
maybe i'm doing something wrong with DSO? you just plop the .nds and the data folder onto the microSD right?

my mac is an olde powerbook. i have no preferences either way over windows and osx. they both work :)

also, i thought the joke was a good one!

Try some old versions. There are mixed reports of it working although saving still has problems. Backup anything important before running them.

DSOrganize 2.2 Preview 1

DSorganize 2.2 Final
