#122864 - cartesia - Fri Mar 23, 2007 1:43 am

Which one has the best quality? I tried LMP-ng but noticed there was alot of static/noise being created

Oh and hi everybody. . main reason I'm gettin into DS homebrew is for the midi/music stuff. . . currently in the process of doing the DSMIDI mod seen here... http://www.collinmeyermusic.com/dsmidi/

hopefully start work on some projects of my own soon

I find Moonshell sounds great. The DS hardware isn't all it could be though; if you want perfection you'll need a standalone player.

For MIDI with the DS you might also want to have a look at DSerial and DSMI.

Midi rocks.
I loved it when Moonshell started supporting it.
(the 58MB soundfont is a must mind)

darkflame thats not quite what i meant... i guess i wasnt so clear though... I was talking about using midi to control external electronic instruments/devices etc, rather than just having soundfonts to play midi files.

0xtob thanks for the links. . . dserial looks nice, i was going to try and bust open a game cartridge and smash something together myself ala dsmidi, but my soldering skills are poo so hitting the connections right would've been a pain.
