SNES Doom is superfx based and won't be playable on a DS any time soon.

Emulators will be ready when they're done.

You could try buying a copy of Doom for GBA on some auction site or running DSDoom.

I bet if you paid the author of the emulator, perhaps they'll get working on it faster. Other than that, the author does it on their own time.

As Dwedit pointed out - the SNES version of Doom is based on SuperFX, and is very unlikely to ever be supported on the DS, as the DS is generally too slow to emulate it.

Then play it on your SNES. Even the GP2X appears to have trouble emulating games that use a Super FX coprocessor. Do you really need to play it while being a passenger?

I found the gba version of doom 1 was quite fast when music and dynamic lighting was turned off, it's a pity they had to screw with the levels and remove so many other things.

That really p*ssed me off, thankfully DSDoom put out that fire
