Did you... include the required files?
Google's translation of readme:

works for me ...
I had lowercase filenames in the /rom dir, but when upercased them, the emu worked fine.

Strange... I put all of the necessary .ROM files in there, construct the ds.gba, and it still doesn't work. Ideas?

Whatever game you are trying you have to rename the rom file to SPMANBOW.ROM.
Tried it with Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2 and the game mentioned in the readme (SPMANBOW).
Works great but the controls are messed up in the Metal Gear games.

I've tried with Metal Gear and varius roms of MSX1 and MSX2 but none works...
Maybe is problem of the msx2prom... d3tr0it can you upload your msx2prom and msx2pextrom?

As for renewal contents,,
* File the system was done the gbamp (the GBA Movie player, the adding movie).
* Disk correspondence.
* To baud menu picture and file selective picture.
* ガビガビ sound (PSG and SCC)
|
seems that it works on GBAMP.
i tried it but games won't boot(the emu menu boots though).
I'm not sure if I have all the needed files as I wasn't able to translate the readme...<_<
Do I need the "FMPAC"-rom too?So far I only have copied the emu-file(renamed to _boot_mp.ds) ,some roms, the msx-rom file and the disk-rom file to the root directory of my CF card.
Anyone got it working yet? If so,how?
thanx

The test of the MSX emulator which moves on fmsxDS ver.0.02 Nintendo Co. DS just the person who would like to try by any means please. * The latest version rise,, tried to read the file from GBA Movie player and the adding movie. This version, can read the file from only GBA Movie player and the adding movie. Depending, you cannot use the person whom it does not have. * Escape it is understood with you think, but,, as for this software with the method Nintendo Co. recommending it is not possible to move. Using this software, assuming, even when, that your Nintendo Co. DS and CF were broken, the ゃ it does it does not owe all responsibility. * It has environment and the technology which can move various demonstrations and the game etc. with essential condition PassMe and flashme. It has environment and the technology where the original software operates with GBA Movie player and the adding movie etc.. There is a knowledge concerning emulator. * When file fmsx.nds... the executable file * it can boot from method 1.CF of moving, CF the format is done. Renaming the fmsxDS.nds file in _BOOT_MP.NDS, the compact flash (CF) it copies in the route. Various BIOSROM, copying game ROM and the DISK file in the route of CF. Pointing to GBA Movie player and the adding movie, starting. Various BIOSROM, copying game ROM and the DISK file in the route of 2.Flashme starting CF. Pointing to GBA Movie player and the adding movie, starting. From the menu of DS, selecting DS download play. It downloads with WMB. 3. The menu taking, it is the kind of menu which is accustomed, but it selects with picture touch. Why file selection, selects with the top and bottom key, it is selection with the A key. START MSX is started with touch. * Only restriction item joystick 1 moves. Because same period of the picture is ignored, there are times when the picture deteriorates. Sound is only PSG and SCC, but it is ガビガビ |
I haven't tested it, but I guess for MSX1 emulation you would only need MSX.ROM. For MSX2 emulation you'd need MSX2.ROM and MSX2EXT.ROM. MSX2+ emulation (default config of this emu) needs MSX2P.ROM and MSX2PEXT.ROM. DISK.ROM is optional but required for disk-based games. FM-PAC isn't supported, so there's no need to have FMPAC.ROM. All roms should be put in the root.

I suggest using google sometimes... :D
MSX is a z80 computer which was released 1983. ASCII are the ones who made it together with Microsoft. Coding language was called MicroSoft eXtended BASIC. Konami among other companies released games on the MSX computers. MSX cpu z80 is clocked at 3.58mhz. CPU is double on MSX with TurboR.
Audio chip is the AY-3-8910, same one as in Sinclair ZS Spectrum 128. This provides 3 channels.
Konami released Metal Gear 2 on the MSX which is alot better than the NES version due to the fact that they actually tried writing a great story :D
Gradius is pretty much the same IMO.
Now that I check msx.org I see they written news about fmsxDS 0.02 ;)

new version out!
FmsxDS ver 04
and again I couldn't get it to work and I don't know what I did wrong.
I have all the bios files (MSX.ROM MSX2.ROM MSX2EXT.ROM DISK.ROM) the emu itself and a game(.msx2-file) in a folder.
The emu boots fine but I can't find the game anywhere in the emu-menu.
anyone got it working?
and how the hell can I translate a japanese txt-file?I have japanese font installed but it doesn't seem to work...oh well
?_?
