DS Misc > XrickDS port

#53219 - GPFerror - Tue Sep 06, 2005 8:55 pm

This is a port of xrick from http://www.bigorno.net/xrick/

Download the source and NDS binaries from my site

http://gpf.dcemu.co.uk/xrickds.shtml

It still need a little work on the sound quality and for some reason the sprites flash weird, but other than that its playable.

Man, I want to play this game and it wont work on my DS. Im using the NeoFlash 512Mb and FlashMe. I tried making it into a nds.gba using dsbuild, but that didn't work either. All I get is a black screen. Is there a nds.gba build that works on the hardware?

Works on EFA 512 + FlashMe, but there are graphics problems - some of sprites are flickering (ie. Rick).

also I have posted up a new version for test , i have downgraded the music so I could fit all the original sounds in a bin that could be wmb. Hopefully sounds better than the original. Source hasnt changed except the lower bit rate.

Please let me know if its sounds better and ill officially release this version , so for the meantime no one annouce this version yet please.

Thanks,
Troy(GPF)

Hmm. I'm not able to download it, it just goes to your standard 1.0 page.

How's the tweaking going? Are the sprites cleaning up ok?

I only ever played this on my Spectrum 48k, what computer version are the graphics in this port from?

Would it possible to map the A or B button to make Rick jump?

So many questions!

Great port, thanks for whipping it up.

I havent figured out the sprite issue yet. The graphics are from the atari version according to the original author.

Ill have to look through the code about controls dont know if thats possible.

Thanks,
