DS Misc > Sending a Pictochat Beacon message

Actually, i did try to send a pictochat beacon from the PC and get a response from the DS. But it doesent work !

I do send the rigth data, timestamp and checksum i think. But im obviously missing something ... I will have to buy antother liksys pci card to check what im sending.

any help ?

Seems i had the wrong sequence numbers in the msg.

Im getting a "MGT Auth" back now, then an ACK on my auth response.
then getting a "MGT Assoc" back, then an ACK on my assoc response.

WOW. Seems im ready to exchange some real data now.

there any free online DOC on those things ?

Not really. There are others working on that. I am just doing my
own experiments.

The goal is having pictochat running on the PC. Not only receiving
messages like the Pictchat Sniffer, but with a real connection to the NDS.

Then, linking different PC-Pictochat's trough the intenet would be EZ.
As a main IP-reference list i intend to use something similar to
http://www.qslnet.de/member/hb9tlk/olf.html.
This is for HAM-Radio, but can easily be changed to distribute client IP's.
It's a simple php-script, able to run on any php-enabled webserver.
The IP-list would then be used to establish P2P connections on demand.

But for now, i'm still figuring out what those data message mean...
