DS Misc > Bricked my DS...

#62623 - Puppet - Sat Dec 03, 2005 2:41 am

I played normal multiplayer (Mario Kart(the cart was in another DS so I used download play in mine)) with my flashed DS and now it won't boot up... bricked... I've read this can be fixed if it has flashme (which mine does)

If that is so, how is it done? Just reflashing the firmware?

Assuming you're using a standard flashcart (not Supercard / G6 / M3):

Put FlashMe v5 on the cart. Put it in the DS, and boot it while holding A+B+Select+Start. Reflash as usual. (You'll have to short SL1 again.)

You won't have the problem again as long as you use v5.

I'm using the GBAMP v2.

Try this thread. Make sure you read pages 4 & 5. Some people have had success with fixing it, others haven't.

Ok, I changed the GBAMP firmware to the official e.19 one and it starts up (have to push down on A, B, Start and Select first), only the .nds loader has a green background and the touchscreen doesn't work. I'm guessing this is good... so what next? Can I reflash it now with the latest flashme (or whatever it is I have to do)?

Yes you can, although it is better to load it directly (as _BOOT_MP.NDS) rather than through a loader, just in case.
