DS Misc > GUI Design Apps

Can anyone point me in the direction of a (free) utility that I can use to design GUIs, etc for my homebrew DS games/apps? Does anyone ever use one? Oh, and yes I have a pen/paper next to my desk that I use now...

I like this one.

Really, all you need is a graphic editor and some code... it's not like making GUIs in Windows.

[edit] Pooh, it doesn't turn local URLs into links... you get the idea.

But you can still link to a Free graphics editor... -- mod

I think you were trying to show him this one.

EDIT: Damn, it only works if you Copy Shortcut and paste it in your address bar. This works on my Favorites list...

Windows is not a free utility.

One great thing about forums is that 99% of the responses are rubbish... hence the reason I hate posting questions. :(

Oh well, it was worth a shot I guess.

I doubt there is are any major artist sets for gui design.. as mostly everything is custom.

Font/Sprite Library at ttp://www.youngmx.com/?loc=ndsdev/NDSDEV
might handle your needs - Someone creating a scriptable GUI interface for the homebrew community would be pretty awesome but most people seem to be doing there own thing.

DSLinux would always allow X (or something X-like)

If I were to design a GUI, I'd probably do it on paper first, then scan the sketch in and begin tracing and designing it in a decent graphics program..probably Flash, because most menus would probably utilize a Flash-styled interface anyway..
