I was wondering if anyone has tried one of these babies out. They look pretty decent and seem a bargain at $35. It says 4 hours charge time in bright sunlight, but I read elsewhere that its 4 hours for psp. I'm not sure on the difference between a psp battery and a DS battery, so no clue if it would also be 4 hours charge on a DS.

Wow that looks pimp.
Awesome if you're going on a camping trip or something for sure.

The Nintendo DS battery is 850 mAh, the PSP battery is 1800 mAh. I guess that the PSP battery would take twice as long to charge, although I'm probably wrong :p

Are the batteries the same voltage?

yes but it also says :

Built in 1800mAh Li-ion battery |
so it does include a battery, it charges the battery of the accessory in 4 hours, not the ds battery..

Yes but does the unit then charge your ds fully.
Well at any rate, it has to charge faster than this http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/6144.htm

Well as far as I can see anything that sends power externally into the DS will charge it
So if your battery is dead and you plug it in it is going to charge the DS in one way or another
i.e. solar to internal battery to DS battery or solar to DS battery
Be damed cool to see an new DS case with solar panel built in! (lets face it it has the space for it to be built in)

You could get a shoebox and hotglue the solar unit on top, hey presto, DS case mod.

Haha, that's awesome. Does any website that ships to Canada sell it, though?
And well-designed rotary chargers can be surprisingly effective.
