No.
The AR Max can only edit save files, it's practically useless.

That can change if and when someone finds a savegame parser bug in a popular commercial game for Nintendo DS. SaveMe happened on the original Xbox, and it may happen on the DS.

There is a major difference between XBox and DS saves. The Xbox has an 8GB HDD, so save files can really be any length desired by the developer and can even vary in size/layout. The DS, however, uses fixed size EEPROMs/Flash memory to store saves. Since the maximum size of these so far has been 256KB, developers have to be very careful with their save size. This means fixed length saves and a highly reduced chance of buffer overflows.

And let's not forget the GTA LCS exploit that opened up homebrew to people with >2.0 firmware on their PSPs.
