DS Misc > DS with Video Out

#80921 - knight0fdragon - Wed Apr 26, 2006 3:20 am

Some one like DarkFader may know the answer

would it be possible to have the mother board rout the video to a TV device instead of the LCDs?

if this has already been done, is there any source out there to create such a contraption for this.

Remember now I am talkin about messing with the actual board this time, not some external device.

The DS board makes signals intended to drive an LCD. You will need some add-on device that transcodes the video from LCD signals into NTSC composite video, and it probably won't fit inside the DS case. If you want to build such a device, you could start by reading Brian Provinciano's stuff.

I am working on it... DarkFader said that he would also continue working on it. So you are probably going to see something soon ;)

How similar are the GBA and DS screens? Could the GBA to TV device released a few years ago be modified for the DS?

I'd rather be interested in pixelperfect screenshots and videos, if that's possible.

I wonder what exactly you're working on. ;)
