DS Misc > what convert settings on GBAMP CF make the smallest output?

#82646 - thundrestrike - Mon May 08, 2006 2:31 am

For a GBAMP CF----
what conversion settings make the smallest output movie file?

is it possible to get a 355 megabyte (1hr 20 mins)movie to fit on a 256 CF card?
if so, what conversion settings do I use?
Dont care about quality, i just want to watch this fine movie on the go!

if that above is possible, theres anoter movie thats 679 megabytes (1 hr 50 mins)
will that work?

Played in which player? The GBAMP firmware player, or MoonShell?

would it fit if i used moonshell?

its actually 699 megabytes but only 1 hour 20 minutes

..
if you say it wont fit on moonshell, then how come the real gbamp firmware version gives an error when using .avi?

Moonshell is probably better.
I can fit 22 minutes of video and audio (15fps 180kbps 256x192 22050hz) in about 36Mb.
36 * 6 = 216Mb.
So an hour and a half of audio and video should fit.
Of course that's anime.
So for live action you may want to drop the resolution to 192x144 or something.
