Is there any way to batch encode with dpgenc.exe. Is there some other tool to use.

My daughter wants the full farscape series And I would like to run it over night

On my desktop I have a batch file for optimizing PNG images, you might be able to do something similar with compressing video.
I just drag the unoptimized PNG onto the batch file and and it does the rest from there.

echo off

cd optipng-0.5.1-exe
optipng.exe -zc1-9 -zm1-9 -zs0-2 -f0-5 %1
pause

Here is a screencap of the script running.

I guess if no one has an answer I have to settle for running ten instances of the program. Its a bit of a pain...had to creat 10 f0lders with dpg+plugins but it seems to be working ok.....the audio part seems slower but I'm gettinf 60-70 fps total instead of the 48 I had with just 1 instance running

i think you can write your own frontend for the encoder dpgenc is just a frontend with some settings it would be no problem to make a batch out of it just nobody did it :)

I actually started looking into it myself. This is what I've found so far:

If you've got any further info, please advise. I'm still confused on how to use mencoder properly, and I'm still not sure how the .dpg gets put together in the end.

Thanks,
