Did you loose the brightness setting on the main screen? That would suck if it does, and I won't flash mine, just use the nopass.

The current version of FlashMe has the brightness settings if you have a DSLite. (Also if you have a later model DS Phat, which it may detect as a Lite.)

does brightness settings work with ds version 6 (picochat test: Dark blue screen)? I'm waiting for my stuff to be sent to me, so I can't test it out. Thanks.

It's not the firmware version, but the hardware revision.
The newer DSs produced just before the DSLite have a newer power management unit, which supports the brightness.
There is no way to know without trying FlashMe.
