There was a mario kart hack thing which launched mario kart with a track mod thing so you could play the other tracks online. (which would be very nice if someone linked a gbamp version ;) )
So, can someone make a .nds which simply launches the game which is in slot 1 :p ?
I know its a simple matter of restarting and pressing select+start, but it'd be quicker to just run the .nds after you've had some homebrew fun; and it can't be THAT hard if there's already a mario kart one with a hack.

Should be fairly easy. Just copy the SLOT-1 boot function from FW-NITRO. Will try to do it, though I'm having some problems with devkitPro lately :(

i have problems getting the wifilib working,
to get the main stuff working i found that deleting everything in devkitpro folder and then installing r19 works best :)

I doubt that works.
You can only boot from SLOT-1 if you boot FWNitro as firmware, not if you boot it as e. g. firmware.nds.

Yes, just figured that out. The RAM needs to be almost completely empty, if you want the function to work. Sorry.

I'd really love to find some way to boot the NDS card from a .nds. I think you just need to prevent some RAM area from being cleared at startup? It should also be doable by reading the cart using the encryption key in the BIOS, possibly removing and re-inserting the cart, but nobody seems to have any info on this.

It was an executable. The 'booting' part of the game started and because it wasn't 'patched' it jumped directly to the DS Game Card from where it loaded everything else :)
