DS Misc > The dark side of NoPass ...

All sorts of things started to spread out since Martin Korth bypassed the DS' encryption. Like these, for example:

That's too bad :(

*sigh* It was only a matter of time.
However, maybe we can use these as the basis of a DS slot flash card?
So many people seem to want one (although why you'd want to go back to NOR Flash after using FAT media I don't know, oh wait piracy).

Alternatively to ensure you get an offical game card only buy from reputable retailers, ensure it has it's plastic box and it's sealed.

I definitely do *not* want to go back to NOR based flashcarts. Man, I'm actually using one right now... A media-card based Slot-1 card would be neat as it opens up Slot-2 for use in homebrew.

What about Gaim DS? Gaim pretty much has support for all IM programs.

But, on the positive side.. that means the hardware to make custom DS game carts is out there... somewhere.. which means we could see a dsdev.org 4Mbit style compo for the DS with a flash cart available for sale afterwards.. :)

MK: Yuck. Not techincally a single cart solution. Too expensive
Ninja: Not touching

So aside from the whole not-being-out-yet issue with NinjaDS, what's the problem with it?

Size. If you can fit an SD DS card into the space of a DS card.. I'd be happy with that.. But, if I'm going to buy something to replace my current hardware (or choose it over the current $50 worth of hardware), it better give me something I want, over just costing a lot more.

Ooooh, that would be pretty awesome. I loved the GBA 4mbit compo cartridge.
