i have the GBAMP and a nintendo dS. they work great together, but it leaves some things to be desired. i hear moonshell uses the DS's features and can play mp3 files directly at a higher quality. Is this true? how would i run moonshell on my NDS? would the Max Media Launcher do it?
thanks.

You'll need a Nintendo DS, a GBAMP (CF version, not SD version), a MAX Media Launcher or other NoPass card, and a CF card. Then you can use NDSMP.gba to make your GBAMP work in DS mode, and then you can run the MoonShell installer on the CF card.

If you have firmware V1-V3 you can use PassMe or WifiMe instead of a NoPass too. If you plan to make DS apps I highly suggest WifiMe if you can, because being able to use the card to send your apps to the DS is really useful. Pass(Me/Key/etc)2 doesn't work with GBAMP though, and WifiMe/Pass*1 doesn't work on V4+, so if you have that you'll need a NoPass.

You can still use WiFi to transfere apps, you just have to do it ver DSTransfere, which isnt quite as efficient time-wise.

Because nobody gave you a straight simple answer:
Yes, Max Media Launcher does the job more than just fine. :)
