Exciting! I hope it's more usable than the previous version; it's a really good idea.

me either i cant get it to work either can anybody make a vid of it
#136257 - calcprogrammer1 - Mon Jul 30, 2007 7:11 pm
If I can get it to work I can probably make a video, I tried the old version but it wouldn't run (then again, I used my old Pentium 133 as the server), I'll try this on my good computer, I can't use my laptop cause it runs Linux and there's only a Windows program for this.

it's rather easy...just launch server app pick a port and max users then start up the server..
then launch dshobro enter in the ip of your pc 192.168.0.xxx
enter in the port you setup the server with and it should work
edit: i also have a question...
for example i go to www.fark.com i can click on lets say showbiz tab
but i can't click on individual links in the page...anyone got this to work or am i not doin this right...?
thanks

Looks very promising, but is it entirely local network based?
#136294 - Poots - Tue Jul 31, 2007 12:50 am
as long as you know the ip and port of the pc the server is running...
you can be at any hotspot...and it will work...
#136296 - calcprogrammer1 - Tue Jul 31, 2007 1:17 am
I made a video, I'm uploading it now, it should be up soon.

And don't forget, if you're behind a router you need to configure the port forwarding.

OK here is how to make it work.
1)Unzip the file
2)double click the server and click "Start!" on the server window
* Note server must be running while the app is running.
3) Start->Run type "cmd"
4) type "ipconfig" look at "IPv4 Address" that is your computers IP
5) Start the app on the DS
6) when it asks for the server, enter the IP of you computer
7)Hit enter, then enter again unless you changed the port number on the server window
8) type web address and surf!!
*Troubleshooting
1) Unless you have a static IP your computers IP will change every time you restart the computer.
2) You may need to port forward port 666 to the ip of you computer. To do this look here.
3) And you might have to allow the program or port through a firewall. But it worked fine with the windows vista firewall.
Good luck!

Its very good...except it does not support text and form fields. Apart from that the rendering and speed of loading a web page is very good. It looks like a promising piece of software and I hope that development continues.

Very unstable (fatal errors with facility are produced) and quite slow still... :-(
Let's hope the time improves it...

Really? It's reasonably fast for me but yes, it does seem to crash a lot. Looking forward to updates. Would really like to see saving of server preferences and bookmarks. This is my favourite NDS browser and it's not even finished. Nice work!

Would anyone be kind enough to allow me to use your ip address? I have a dynamic IP and i don't want to screw up my interwebz :(
#136806 - dualscreenman - Sun Aug 05, 2007 3:42 pm
Your internal network IP shouldn't change.

I can't get t to work on mine, it says that it cannot connect to Wifi (when every other homebrew and commercial game I try, except beup, works). However, I do have to use Wine (I run Linux) and I'm not sure if the port is forwarded...so that may be the problem. Regardless of those issues, though, it should still connect to my wifi.

Even if it had connected to WiFI, it would have crashed when it recieved the first packet from the DS. (I tried under Wine)

Useful to check for forwarded ports:

And you know that you can use your internal network ip (usually 192.168.*.* - just type ipconfig at a command prompt) and still connect, right? Just through your wireless router though.

I can't connect, i have DSHobro 0.3 and i always get the messeage "Initialising Wifi..." I have tried option A and option B (with the key of the server). I have used the random port and ports that i have opened in my router, but anyway, I have the "Initialising Wifi..." message and nothing happens. I can play wifi games.
I want the internet in mi DS to see the Live Timing of F1 xD while I'm watching Tv, so i think i need a browser with java in order to be able to open the live timing window of the f1 website. Do you know what can i do with the program to make it run? Do you know another browser program that can allow me to do that?
Cheers and ty
