A successful achievement, but in honesty a text based menu is a huge step down from even the G'n'M one.
Moonshell takes up extra space on my 128Mb cart, so I like that the G'n'M can handle it itself, even if it does mostly suck!
Considering all you have here is a text menu, I'd rather stick with what I've got. And if I want a nicer layout I'd use Spinal's DS Menu instead, 'cos that at least bothers to neaten up the actual interface.

I am adding skining support, also this is supposed to kind of clone the other slot-1s which, yes use Text based menus as all the other homebrew programs do too! I also noticed a problem with booting it from the GnM internal loader, is that it doesn't boot to GBA, the GnM loader must not be initializing something, so I will find a workaround.
BTW, the link is perfectly fine, I just used it.

Hey, if you get a good skinning system on here, I PROMISE I will make some great skins for this.
Great Program!

Yeah, you just try to build it up a bit. Use more of the data that's in the rom, and display things a little more interesting than just a filename.
It's not going to be hard to beat "Dodgy icons that occasionally double click correctly", so get to it!! :)

Anything is better than Datel's horrible loader. The Datel loader doesn't even support the d-pad and is not friendly to lefties.

[OT] Purely out of interest, what's up with the thing that makes it harder for lefties? Surely it's just buttons on a screen, isn't it? Wouldn't that work for either hand? [/OT]

Is that even configurable on Windows Mobile?

I don't think so...

Here's the newest version, 1.1.
New features include skinning support! The only bug now is the no GBA booting when booted from the GnM. If you really need to try to boot GBA when used as bootme.nds, you can boot from DSOrganize. R4/M3 Simply skins may be used with little modification. See Skinning.txt in the 'fshl' directory.

Er... Actually, if you want to boot a GBA flash card with the GnM, all you have to do is remove the microSD before you boot it.
Also, the latest download link isn't working for me. Problem Loading Page.

the link should be working, if not just browse http://teendev.dragonminded.com/files/ for a file like 'fcos1_1.1.zip'

Jay Jump In,
to Whinge Again!
Since I won't ever use the Moonshell button, and my G'n'M status prevents me from using the GBA button, the whole frontend seems a little superfluous.
Instead, why not just take me straight to the file list (which still needs jazzed up a bit!), and add those icons down the side of the screen instead.
Additionally, if you try it without a skin, it doesn't load a backup. I don't like having everyone's extra files all over the place on my DS.. It gets messy...
[OT]For the record, I can't ever remember using a scroller on the left of the screen! Nor can I ever remember that being an option! But I did put the menu buttons along the left in my Retro Collection, so hopefully I get me some Leftie Points! ;)[/OT]

I have 2 suggestions.
1) Allow touch screen selection, even with the text based interface.
2) Allow holding the up or down button to continue scrolling until released (Remove the delay).

If I removed the delay, it would be really annoying to select a file. You'd end up missing it.

Shove in a classic "KeyDelay" thing..
Tap=0;
if (!anykey) {Delay=60; Hit=0;}
if (anykey) {Hit--;}
if (anykey && Hit<1) {Tap=1; Hit=Delay; Delay=5;}
Or, something like that.. (Do a trial+error thing to get the feel just right.)
First tap = a tap
Hold..
Second tap occurs after 60 frames, then the next after 5, and again, and again..

What Jayenkai said. Also, on the GnM, certain official downloadable demos hang when the OS tries to load them. Specifically, the demo for Worms: Open Warfare 2. The official demo, not a rom. It hangs just after loading. Two white screens, and a hard clicking noise, exactly like the one after hitting the power button to power down. This demo boots fine otherwise.
