That looks awesome! I've always wanted to do a race game. And especially cool that it runs at 60fps. The cars look a little slow to me though. Maybe move the camera a little closer to the ground so it feels faster? Or actually make them faster :) At 60fps, it would look really cool.
Does it support multiplayer? And what about sound/music? Racing always feels empty without some tunes and a revving engine.

the demo lacks sound I know...
The karts has some rubberband AI like Mario Kart DS.but its not that unfair like MKDS
multiplayer?! this is a feature which I guess is needed.

I agree, this game surely looks interesting=D Keep up the good work man=D It would be nice if the cars where a little bit faster! Is a wireless option possible to add? And lastly, may there be a user friendly way to build your OWN tracks???=P=P=P=P=P=P
Have a nice day^^

These are karts not F1 racers :-)......they drive around 60-70 km/h..I will check the physics I use....
many many thanks for all posts ...this gives also a boost to finish the game.

Haha you used some Mario Kart textures ^^
Really nice, how do you make the maps?

Yes the track. So you just model the track for your game.

I also did a ingame editor....to draw the racetrack.....but I did not finished the editor...because I find it easier to use ac3d for that task.
the only annoying task is to define the drivelines

Looks good, but what's happening when you touched a wall?
Also you will be able to have races with some relief (for jumps, bridges...)?

Touching the wall with a certain speed is showed in the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuK0lrx3wX8 ..at 0:50!)
Reliefs are possible because the 3d math is calculating the "height of the terrain" ..even in this demo video where the "height of the terrain" is constant

I know it's showed on the video, but it's strange: the kart makes a big jump...

Oh......it's not a jump..
Crashing could delay your race for a while, which lifts the kart into the air.
But you could go for a Crash-Turbo. Press R during the crash sequence and steer to give the kart a new direction. After some moments you start continuing the race with a turbo!
So crashing (with high speed) slows down your race for a while...but you could use a turbo....the AI drivers does not have that turbo feature.
This game design element make a lot of fun...I will post a new video where I crash a lot..you will see

Here is a video which shows that feature
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwmiNEZhkC0&feature=player_profilepage
But I must admit that I think this slows down the game...and I will just skip this game feature and let the kart slide down the wall like seen in MKDS

I agree, I don't see the utility of that.
The game is looking nice, keep it going!
