you should be able to, as long as it has the same cable part to insert into the gbasp hardware

I think the connector's the same, but the ribbon cable on the GBA's screen is way shorter. The SP's screen cable wraps around in a little loop in the hinge to allow the screen to be raised and lowered without breaking the cable.

Electronically, it's quite possible, but unless you manage to connect the SP's ribbon cable to the GBA's screen, it's going to be tough.
