is there a way to reset the NDS so that it thinks its brand new, never used?

Try unscrewing the battery lid, yanking the battery, waiting 20 seconds, replacing the battery, and reattaching the battery lid.

If you remove and reinsert the battery it will not ask for the language at startup. The only way to do that is to corrupt the firmware settings with some kind of program (but not the bricker!).

my ds wouldn't connect to wifi at my friends house so i thought that wfc might have banned me but i got home and it worked
