Hardware > Green pixel

Hello,

I have pretty new "Tribal edition" Game Boy Advance but today I turned it on and I see (on every game) little green pixel when background is black or some blackish color. I think it's stuck pixel.

I head this issue can be fixed or it ca go by itself after some time. But also I have same green pixel on my computer LCD monitor and it didn't go by itself so I am asking for advice how to fix this issue.

Can someone please suggest me how to deal with this, what to try out and etc.? If you need any more information I will provide it.

Thanks.

You could try Tepples Stuck Pixel Fixer.

Haven't played with my GBA is ages but you need something like the Flash2Advance flash cart. That used the parallel port so I'm sure there are better ways of doing it these days with USB. Do a search for "GBA flash cart" on Google.

Stuck pixels are usually stuck forever. Pixel flashing programs rarely bring a pixel back to life.

What is your recommendation then?

Most likely your only choices are:

1. Deal with it
2. Buy a new one

a 3rd difficult option:
3. Buy another GBA and do some surgery and swap lcd screens?

assuming you have a flashcard I propose to give the "stuck pixel" method a try, it'll prolly won't work, but you got nothing to lose...
now if you don't have a flashcard, don't bother trying this...
