Hardware > xboo problem

#33534 - yesbee1 - Wed Jan 05, 2005 2:18 am

Hello Guys,
I am trying to transfer some multiboot code over xboo. I am running XP and installed userport. When I try to send the code I get a timeout from xboo after the message "sending reset and requesting normal boot". I checked my connections and verified that xboo is writing to the parallel port (using taps on the GBA lines 5 and 3). I tried GUI based xboo no$cash emulator also without any success.

Can somebody advise what else I need to check?

Thanks
- SB

Have you ever had success with the multiboot cable? If not the problem might lie there. Do a search for Lord Graga's page on building an xboo cable. The many diagrams for it often have the pinouts reversed. His diagram is in 3D and showed me the error of my ways once.

Try this registration key (save as xboo.reg or something and run)
Code:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\nocashio]
"ImagePath"=hex(2):73,00,79,00,73,00,74,00,\
