why would u want to overclock the GBA

OCing the GBA might let those emulators that haven't yet been ported to the Nintendo DS run at full speed.

It then kills the CPU of the GBA and can cause undesirable effects to some of the existing GBA games out there

That's why the GBAccelerator has an off switch for when you're using it with official games or any other program that's not designed for the GBAccelerator.
