Hardware > LCD Screen replacement

#72743 - xproductions - Tue Feb 21, 2006 9:12 am

I bought a GBA SP from a friend for $20 because his little brother broke the LCD. Is there a way to replace it? (I don't think there are Nintendo authorized replacement places in Ukraine, where I live).

Usually people buy one with a broken screen, then one with a working screen but broken everything-else, then merge the two to create a working GBA.

That could end up being very costly, is there any way just to buy a replacement screen?

You're right, doesn't seem there are repair centers in your country. Seems Germany is the nearest.

I don't know about the costs there, but it looks like it's $55 for repair here.

89 available there. Not sure what the heck he means about the backlight.

"This is the LCD ONLY. Not the backlight. It includes a backlight but it is only as a backup." Umm. K?

That, or buying a second broken gba sp would be your best bets.
