Coding > hel_mapSetPositioninPixel and ham_SetBgXY

I try to use hel_MapSetPositionInPixel as the equivalent of ham_SetBgXY but it gives me problems, the map moves in the opposite way, it does strange movements and I cannot get the right movement. In theory I think both are the same but with hel it uses larger maps, am I wrong?

What I want is to move large maps using my hero character coords instead of a deltaX and a deltaY (which are used by helMapBatchScrollby and so on). Is it possible? Or must I calculate the deltas by myself and apply to the right hel command, which I try to do but also doesn't work?
