Anth sent in this lovely little thing the other day:

Remake of the classic 8 bit game Cauldron.
Pickup the spell items and mix in the witch's Cauldron.
Keys open certain doors - try not to fall into the lava.
There are some bugs, which should be fixed in the final version.
When it's complete I will be posting the source and tools etc.
Still to-do are :-
sprite palettes - complete graphic overhaul.
sound/music - maybe someone could suggest a decent library?
misc screens for the inside maps.
animation for the lava.
tuning and everything else i've missed.

Well it's finished now basically - a dead project unless I can get someone to update the graphics and revamp the audio.
The code is done - might need some debugging although I have found no obvious bugs.
BTW
The devkitadv source code is now up there as I promised a long time ago, and I thus complete my agreement with GNU for using their excellent compiler/assembler.

I'll go try it straight on. Seems to be very good work.
I was also a C64 fan.

Your next job will be to adapt Cauldron2 , with the "I becoming mad" boucing pumpin !!!!!! :-)

Excellent job !!!!!

The game is very hard, as the original.

Very impressive adaptation.

Just to clarify -- the license for GCC specifically says that code generated by GCC is not required to be licensed under the GPL. So, just because you use GCC doesn't mean it has to be open source :)

But, kudos for releasing the code anyway :D
