Nintendomax DS Dev Competition 2010

Objective Contest :

- Create a homebrew for the nintendo DS.


Presentation :

- Deadline: December 31, 2010 at midnight your time.
- Categories: Games and Apps.
- Duration: 3 month.
- Theme: Completely free.


Rules :

- Everyone can participate, regardless of the country.

- All games or apps submitted must be unpublished TOTALLY on DS. This implies that no project shall be presented was posted on another website before the close of the competition and must not have competed earlier under penalty of being automatically removed.

- The project progress can be posted during the contest period (WIP, Previews, videos, etc.).

- A Splashscreen will be posted december 1, 2010.

- The splashscreen will be the first image to appear in the project and will be posted at least 5 seconds. Transitions and all types of effects are allowed.

- Participants may submit 1 or more projects.

- The ranking of the competition will be defined by a jury of 10 persons (1 staff nintendomax, 1 Dev-fr.org, 1 PlayerAdvance and 7 others). No public vote.

- The classification criteria are multiple (originality, graphics, life, gameplay, personal notes, stability / bug, etc ...), a report will be posted after the vote.

- Competition results will be posted January 30, 2011.

How do I post a project ?

- For a games, participants must open a topic "[Compo] Project title" in section NMAX WII DEV COMPO 2010 <Jeux / Games forum and put available an archive of the project ready to be used exclusively for the DS with a text file explaining the installation procedure if necessary.

- For an apps, participants must open a topic "[Compo] Project title" in section NMAX WII DEV COMPO 2010 <Applications / Apps forum and put available an archive of the project ready to be used exclusively for the DS with a text file explaining the installation procedure if necessary.

- Applicants must present your project in the form :
Quote:
Name : My homebrew
Author(s) : Name(s)/Nickname(s)
Origin : Country

Short description : My homebrew is a puzzle game ...


Download : http://mywebsite/.../Myhomebrew.zip .rar 7z etc...


- If you do not have hosting, we can upload your project directly on our server by sending us a request via PM or directly on the forum.

First, you post it on nintendomax, you can post after on your website.
I made a splashcreen for december 1, 2010.

Participants can post the progress of their project on nintendomax but the final version will contain the splashscreen will be available December 1.

Yes, you must post first on nintendomax, and then you can post elsewhere

The development of the game/app should have been started AFTER Oct. 1? Or it's ok even if the development started long ago? ;)

The main issue with comps is usually that you can't have it posted on the web already to enter. After the comp you can post on your own website etc. So I think you can enter your game sverx ;)
