To cover extra expenses for the compo game (and also to finance a secret project that will be of great help to you all), I am now selling the cartridges that I originally ordered for the compo game. I couldnt get them to work way-back-then but now they do. However, since the burning process is more complicated than it should be I cant sell them empty.
More info...
Cartridge size: 32Mbit
Save function: SRAM
Cartridge color: Gray/dark gray
Price: 4$usd / cartridge
Minimum order: 5 cartridges
Shipping: 4$usd for 5 cartridges. 8$usd for upto ~15 carts. Insurance/tracking is 8$usd extra (if you really want it...).
Payment method: PayPal (add 6% to cover fee's and exchange-rates). Bank transfer (to EU bank - in Euros).
Example order:
5 cartridges (20$usd)
Regular uninsured (airmail) shipping (4$usd)
payment by PayPal (24 * .06 = 1.44$usd)
Total: 20+4+1.44= 25.44$
Supply is limited so first come first served. Please reply here if you have any general questions or in a PM if you are shy :)

What can you just burn a rom on it?
Would it work with Slimloaded III?

Can I reserve some if I order now but I don't have anything to put on them yet? I'd be happy to pay you now for a cartridge next Wednesday (or however it goes.)

I would really love to purchase a batch of carts with my game on, however slight problem:
I haven't finished my game yet =O
I dont expect to finish it too soon, but progress is *really* on the way.. any suggestions? Should I buy now and send them back for burning when I have completed the rom? How much would shipping be to England?
This would be so great!!
Chris.

Simon,
How much would you charge for a set of 24 carts AND the burner. I don't imagine you'll need the burner once you're all done selling them off. I can wait until the rest of them are sold off.
Also, 24 is the minimum I need. If you have more available, I can save you the hassle of selling to dozens of people and buy them all now. :)

I have no problem with that. I noticed you wrote cartridge and not cartridges though. Please note that the minimum order is 5pcs.

will they work with a pogo shell rom? If I wanted to have multiple games on one cartridge and they all used SRAM or something. Would it be possible as is or would pogo shell need to be modified for the cart?
#48391 - tepples - Tue Jul 19, 2005 7:44 pm
If you're using multiple .gba ROMs, then PogoShell works only with supported bankswitch methods. I'm assuming that these 32 Mbit carts do not have bankswitching. However, you can still use multiple .mb or .mbz programs with PogoShell on any cart provided that they don't use the SRAM.

I'm interested in buying about 50 but I'm a little afraid about the rom and SRAM "erasibility" with time... Are this carts safe ?

If your games/programs do use bank switched SRAM and these carts dont have bank switched SRAM, does it really matter - will the programs crash if they try to access it or would it just be ignored and the code continue normal execution?

Well the game should be safe on the cart but Im not sure about the quality of the SRAM chip. I dont think it would be any big problem but I guess its a chance you have to take :)

Hi Simon, thanks a lot for replying.
So if I go ahead and buy 5 or 10 there is no problem with you having carts sold to me for quite a while while I complete the game I'm working on?
If you can confirm that it wont be a problem I'll go ahead and purchase some =)
Thanks again!
Chris.

im working on my masterpiece, which won't be done very soon.... I'm planning to get it done before christmas, but no promises. Could I still reserve 5-10 cartridges until then?

I would rather burn the games in the near future but as long as its before the end of the year there shouldnt be any problems. Please PM me with exact number of carts, shipping & payment method.

I wonder if there would be interest into some burned with FlashMe.
Even with a huge shipping fee that would be much cheaper then buying a flash card for a single use :p
I guess many WiFiMe users would thanb you for it

That's a pretty good idea. Although it would mean orders of 1. Could ask lynx to put it in his webshop or similar though.

Perhaps the compo website could shed some light on this?

Simon,
I understand you don't have any of these carts left, I was wondering if you have any suggestions as to where to find additional blank one time use carts, or who gbadev used to create the carts for the contest.
Thanks

... but do you know where you can get larger ones? I would love to get my hands on some 64Mbit (8 MegaByte) carts, even with only the 4K saver space, that would be a nice thing. My first game weighs in at just under 8MB. Anybody run across something like this? It could be flash or ROM, just so long as it was affordable.
#82922 - Lynx - Thu May 11, 2006 5:11 am
Yes, I am also still looking for one time write carts.. as well as others have posted the same question. I would have love to provide FlashMe carts.. but I'm not willing to take the risk of "distributing" copyright material. I can't believe, with all the devers here, that someone doesn't know of a place to either get the hardware (be it, expensive hardware?) or a place that would do it for us (aka, 4Mbit compo carts?).
